    Ducati V4 Akrapovic fitting

I have had the full Akrapovic exhaust system fitted to my V4S which looks and sounds amazing, but the connectors for two cables from the Ohlins rear shock are just open to the elements and look a bit 'out of place'. Should they be connected behind the rubber manifold that they run in to? What...

Fitting a Full Akrapovic System, tips and tricks

Hey guys, I recently fitted a full Akrapovic system to my 1299S and thought I'd share some words of wisdom that they don't tell you in the install guide. In no particular order: Before starting, remove the rear subframe, both sides of the fairings and the fan assembly at the front underside...

    1299 quick screen fitting

Hi This morning I took my bike to Hathaway Transport to have my bike shipped to Estoril. Due to new EU regs trucks can be taller than 4m so the stillages are shorter meaning we have to take the screens off. So my advice is if you are a Panigale owner ask for an orange stillage which doesn't...

    Fitting the pillion seat?

Complete noob question. How do you fit this? Can't find my instructions book and might need to use it later today. The long screws for the pegs, tell me I don't need to take anything off to fit those, classic ducati lol. Just want to say, coming up to 3k miles and this bike in race mode...

Carbon Fibre Air Duct Covers -Fitting Tips

Does any one have any useful tips for fitting these. I am at last reaching the end of this year long project, delayed for numerous reasons. I am fitting the Lieb Speed ones which have an extra securing tab in them which clips under the side of the nose fairing at right angles to it. Being carbon...

    Fitting SharkSkinz

Was planning on doing it myself but just out of curiousity asked the dealer in PDX how much it would cost. 8 hours labor?! Removing exhaust, radiator, trimming/sanding Skinz.... Really??

question about leaving flapper valve after fitting termi slips

has anyone here actually done a self-install on the termi's and left the flapper valve in place? The ebay vid shows it being removed both internally and externally, I think that the 2012 flap stays open when you disconnect the cable but have not had the exhaust off to check. If so theoretically...

    Fitting Givi Tanklock Bag

So after some creative work with a Dremel, I've finally got one of these fitted: GIVI 3D601 TANKLOCK - Soft Luggages I preferred the look of the Givi to the SW-Motech equivalent, but I had to buy the SW-Motech Quicklock evo to get the adapter plate to attach the Givi adapter plate. I believe...

Fitting top air tube to race fairings

Trying to fit a set of CRC race fairings to 1199 base. Not sure how the top air tube is meant to fit in. Read another post they need to be trimmed first because it was designed to fit the S model. Anyone have any pics of this fitted or how they modified it?

    Fitting the termi exhaust

Well holly cr@p!!, NOT a 5 minute job, even for a seasoned mechanical engineer and racer, the booklet supplied by Ducati/termi is a must, I have refitted the glass, the heat protection supplied in the kit is a .... to fit, used on the bottom rear of the tank and also to protect the ECU, getting...

    While Fitting My GPS Module....

I noticed a number of very interesting things: 1) A snapped upper fairing slot that had been painted over. 2) The RHS mounting bolt for the nose cone was completely loose and ready to jump out. I'm sure this looseness accounts for both a rev dependant buzz/vibration I was hearing and the...

Ducati Performance Parts & Fitting (& Availability!)

Thought it might be good for a thread for people to share their experiences on fitting DP parts to their bikes. I did the first three today, carbon heel guards (2 minutes), carbon hugger (20 minutes due to the recessed screw!) and finally clutch cover (30 mins after deciding not to take off...
