A bad day on the bike is better than a good day at work

Hi. I'm sure I'm not the only multiple motorcycle owner, my oldest is BSA A7, 1959, newest is '04 999s. A'm almost willing to sell the 999 and one of my RG500s to get into an 1199s. Bloody HP4 is clouding my judgement. If I go for the HP4, I'll have to keep the 999? I never get lost cause...

Am I getting a good deal on this 1199 S?

Good afternoon gents. As spring is around the corner, Im looking to move up from my 848 to an 1199s. The dealer had it listed for 19,995 which included the 1500 ducati promo. All said and done (tax, tags, freight and prep) they were going to give me 7,500 for my 848Evo which would have left me...

How good or bad are the LED headlights?

I do a lot of riding in the dark and I am wondering what those of you who have the LED headlights think of them? On my BMW S1000RR, I went with Philips Euro 100% brighter H11 bulbs, which made the headlights pretty decent; I'm curious how the LED's work in the real World. Cheers.

Good Time to Get Out of Superbikes?

I'm wondering this, as the 1199 has just about stopped bending my head with its phenomenal performance. Personally, I don't expect another massive jump forward in super bike technology, so just wondering what would/could tempt me back??? - BMW are making incremental performance gains with...

Good news for club racers in Oz

The 2015 class regs have been released here in Oz and they allow 1300cc Twins in Superbike and Superstock. So may now buy a 1299 standard and set it up for the track instead of an R.

    Still looks good to me

Sometimes I miss my 1198s ... it was such a beautiful bike ....it was so unpredictable, I never knew if the bitch would leave me stranded somewhere and breakdown:p, but that's what gave me sort of a rush, like playing Russian roulette with an Italian gun:o Anyone else miss there 1*98S, R

    Here's a good question...do the 11-14 parts fit the 15?

Can you swap everything body panel wise and accessory wise from an 11' model, let's say, to a 15?

    INSTALLED Q3's...so far so good!

Feedback so far so good. As many have noted, turn down traction control settings for sensitivity/intervention due to difference in shape and profile. No track time. Going into Chicago winter season and its a bit cold so a slow, careful break in. Bought them for $260 so they were worth a...

    GoPro Hero 3+ good enough?

So I'm looking at the myriad of ads on CL for barely used GoPros. I've seen a ton of 3+ cameras plus mounts, extra batteries, etc for around $300-$325 here in San Diego. Just wondering if all of you camera pros use the 3+ or have moved on to the Hero 4?? It seems like the 3+ is good enough...

1st DIY oil change good news/bad news

Since warranty is over and due to time constraints it is a huge inconvenience for me to take her in for 7500 mile oil change So I decided to do it myself. After hearing about the Oil filter "cap" being a bitch I decided to loosen it first before draining the oil therefore if I can't remove it I...

What it will be a very good tire for the track day?

Hey Guys! Going to the track tomorrow... Looking for a new set of tires because the Q3 rear ( specially ) stared to spin a lot. What kind the tires you recommend? I'm running in advance. They have a Michelin truck to set the tires at the track and I was thinking to try it out. I don't have...

Ran across a 41t Ducati branded rear sprocket for $125, good deal?

So the parts guy at my local shop and I were talking about the new CRG carbon levers that I ordered a week ago that finally came in, and I mentioned I was thinking of the 41t rear sprocket and he said he had one left from a special Ducati sale last month and he could sell it to me for $125 and...

Anyone have a good brand of short levers to replace stock brake/clutch levers??

So I'm looking to swap out the levers. What's a good/great brand? And are they ez to change? Looks like you don't have to drain lines or anything. Should be a few nuts and bolts right. In all my bikes, I've never swapped out levers. Thanks, Sergio :)

    A Good Ride Gone Bad

I had ridden my 1199 down to Wintergreen (VA) for the long weekend. My family had driven down a day earlier, so I was meeting up with them. I parked the bike in a friend's garage for the weekend since Wintergreen doesn't allow motorcycles up the mountain unless you are an owner. After a nice...

    UpMap - no good secondhand?

Hi All, My understanding is that once an upmap has been used it can only be used again for that particular bike - is this correct? If so, doesn't it make buying a second hand one useless? Thanks, Ben
