    BSD Blipbox, HARD downshifts

Ok, So as i morph my 899 into the track-only bike now, I just installed an 1199 slipper clutch and a BSD Blipbox Pro. Shifts with the clutch are perfect, up and down. Quick-shift up are fast sharp and amazing!..... Downshifts on the other hand... I have to RAM the shift lever to get it to...

    Kickstand hard to swing down.

I just realized something that bothered me about the V4, the kickstand is awful to try to kick down with track boots. I own dainese axial pros and I cannot bring the kickstand down due to the heel being metal and the side of my foot being smooth plastic. For those of you who want to design...

    Suspension too hard

The suspension of my 1299 S is too hard for my weight (66 kg / 147 lbs without gear) for street use. I have already put the DES the on the softest stage. This does not change the spring, does it? Or am I thinking wrong? With older contributions to this topic (search function) I am not advanced...

    Gear change hard & sluggish

My bike will be 6 years old in November. It's less than 8k on my odometer. Of late I've experienced difficulties in changing gears, especially neutral.. could it be transmission oil/ or anything more severe

2015 R longetivity under hard track / race use?

Does anyone have any experience of the 2015 R under hard regular track or race use and how well the higher tune engine stands up to abuse? My 2014 1199 S has been bullet proof but now that the manufacturer warranty is nearing it's expiry I'm looking at options and considering the man maths. I...

Popping out of gear on hard acceleration

Recently I've had an issue under hard acceleration where my 1199 will not upshift properly with the DQS. It's an intermittent issue but a frustrating one none the less. It is almost as though it goes into gear and then pops back out into the lower gear that I just came from. It is quite the jolt...

    1199 Hard Starting

Is this a problem with all Ducati's? A brand new bike and if it sits for any amount of time it is incredibly hard to start????

How hard is it to Ceramic Coat the exhaust? Has anyone done it?

I have the S and she gets quite hot! I'm sure they all do. I'm more of a "do-it-yourself-er" and would like to do this myself. It looks fairly easy taking the bottom of the exhaust off, but i want to do the entire exhaust, Ceramic Coated. Is it easy to do at home? Should I pay someone to do it...

    Hard finding Neutral folllow up!

Well it's been 7 months now since I dropped my 1199S at the dealership to fix my hunting for N while sitting at the lights. Bit of back ground. Bike has 15,000 kms on it it started to get so bad within the last 1000kms that I couldn't do it. Bleed the clutch numerous times! Dealer got around to...

    Hard starting

The most frustrating day! I have done 6,000 kms and the bike is becoming harder to start very time i ride. I have read the threads and make sure I idle the bike for at least a minute before turning off. Any thoughts?

Start button needs a very hard push to work

Hi all! To be able to light up my Diavel 2012 without keys nearby I need to press the button very very hard. Its tricky to get the finger in there with the needed pressure. Is this my bike or does yours also require very very very hard pressing? Will ask the dealer next service in march, but...

    Cure for hard starting

So I found a fool proof method for hard starting, 1) turn ignition on, let it go through its fuel pump priming 2) pull key and open gas tank, there might be a swoosh sound 3) close gas tank 4) turn ignition on again and fire it up! Fires up 1st time every time!

    Oil smell when revved hard

Greetings to all, Not sure where from hadnt had the chance to remove fairings or open up air box. Oil leaking but only when engine is pressed ie 10-11K rpm. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Maybe vapours through oil breather which I think runs though the air box. Oil level normal...

How hard is it to change the oil?

Thinking about changing the oil myself. Have done this on jap bikes. Is it just taking fairings off then remove the bolt on the bottom (is this a tricky process?) then drain and add new oil and change oil filter. Roughly a 1hr job? Interested in hearing from people who have done it...

    Taking a Hard Stance

Got the shaft on having some fun (with some coaxing from other members) as I may have struck a vein in the other thread. So I'm going to head up the initiative to stand tall on the arousal of my suspicion good fun has now been sacked. I know this is a hairy topic and could easily rub some the...

Shift lever rubbing hard against rearset

Just got back from about 50mi of spirited riding, came back home to pick up some stuff I forgot. I started missing DQS-assisted upshifts on the way home, then when I went back out for my ride I started missing up and downshifts, both with and without the clutch. I've seen this happen...
