Is CANBUS ballast a must when going for HID xenon kit on a 1299 base model? Or is standard ballast sufficient, eg. no error messages on dash? 35w/5000-6000k. Thanks.

Struggling to find the kit on there site but know a few of yas have got em so wondering where and how much and if the 6000k white hid almost matched the LED STRIP
