picked up the 1299 2 weeks ago, and ride it to work a few times, heats issue seems drastically improved compared to 1199, anyone feel the same?

Is there a way to make the 1199 smoother at low speeds? Does changing the sprocket help with the power curve? I ride around town most of the time and am looking for solutions
