Hi everyone, I'm considering trading my 899 for a slightly used 1299 base. Has anyone here done that and could share their experiences? I don't track or race, so don't really need the extra HP, but have always lusted over the 1299. Also, somewhat concerned with the issue of engine dying...

Hey everybody. Just moved to San Jose from Florida. I brought my 1199 Tricolore and my Monster 1100s with me. I've been out on some rides so far, discovering the amazing roads out here. Looking forward to meeting some other Riders and doing a few track days on the pani. Thomas
