What can a 2015 1299s handle for octane for the best performance

I know that the manual says use at least RON 90 which in the US is equivalent to around 87 octane; but I think thats just minimum safe numbers. I wonder if anyone knows what this bike was actually tuned for? I dont want to run premium through it just to waste money and in fact premium has less...

Anyone try the new shell nitro plus UNLEADED? reported to be 99 octane and have add friction reducers. The word is that it is supposed to reduce frictional, clean and increase performance. I'm in CA and wanted to know which station would have it in the Orange County area.

Anyone using 87 octane? I normally go with 91 but yesterday I used 87 octane on the racetrack. I don't know, but it seems the bike ran a lot stronger.
