Hello fellow Ducatisti.
I have a Ducati V4 1103cc, 2018. The bike now has 1300 miles on it. It is an amazing bike. I use it as a track bike. The first impressions were amazing, and I had several track days without any problems.
However, after a recall, in which the dealer changed the...
At first the oil cooler was broken (4000km) and now I have an oil leakage again... 8 months old and 7100 kilometers....
I think now the gearbox position sensor is guilty...

Anyone ever run into issues with the gear position sensor failing. I've got a dash where the gear position normally is on the dash.. any thoughts?

So I guess the front brake lever has a pin so it cannot be rotated down. Has anyone fixed this by removing the pin. I have not done anything yet, but after my ride today it is time. I just want to be cautious and not somehow screw up something else with a bike so complex. But man, I need to...
I am a 1st time 1299 owner, and love the bike, it is truly incredible.
But the more I ride it, I find myself feeling "perched on top" like monkey riding a rocket instead of sitting "in" the bike like several other albeit older sportbikes I've owned.
With engineers trying for lower center of...

Having issues with my gear position sensor. Basically it'll show a "-" on the indicator and the maps will be all weird until the bike heats up and the sensor resumes normal function(why, I have no idea). Anyone know if this is a user serviceable replacement? It looks pretty straight forward...
Hi, I just ordered a Motolectric HICAP starter kit for my Ducati 1299s.
Does anyone have a pic or knows where the position of the solenoid and starter-motor is? - that would save me some time looking for them :)
Apparently same position as the 1199.
Just confirmed my 1299S for $26700 (including taxes)... Will post pics this weekend.
I test rode the 1299 and I can very much so tell the seating/riding position is drastically different from the 1199. The 1299 has you sitting higher up and more forward putting more pressure on my wrist...
So I was reading about Nicky Hayden's wrist injury and how he's had his throttle grip adjusted for his hand's much smaller range of motion. Very cool.
I usually make a tiny adjustment to my throttle grip, as in move my hand clockwise over the grip, if I know I'm gonna pin the throttle (not...
Checking bike over, for tomorrow nights track night, first on 1199S.
Turned on ignition to change to lap timer and noticed no Neutral Green Light or N, but bike was in neutral.
Will only start with side stand up, so electronics think bike is in gear. I thought bike was running a bit rough...
Hi all dear Family of Ducati 1199!
I have a bit problem with my Ducati 1199 Panigale 2012 on (Sensor Posizione Cambio / Gearbox Position Sensor).
Who you guys can help me this problem or need me to change to order that sensor?
I have attachment bellow to let you guy know my problem:
I need...
I reconnect the flapper valve when taking the bike to the dealer for service work and last time when I did it I could not remember which hole to put the cable end into.
This is the correct position in the photo so just thought i would share here on the tech section for anyone else that ever...
So, I need help figuring out what to do. As I've put more miles on the 1199 I'm not as happy with the riding position. I have the race seat, Rizoma rear sets. It feels as if I''m up too high and COG too forward. It's uncomfortable and I lose "fine touch" cornering and with throttle control...
Had a thought while straddling an "S" today at dealer,What do you guys think about a higher handlebar for us unfortunate souls that do not have twisties and need more comfort for straighter road riding.
I'm thinking One inch riser for that Ultimate riding position.(In my case anyway where the...
This thread "http://ducati1199.com/mechanical-technical/1447-vibrations-handlebars.html" got me to thinking about my position on the bike relative to where and the type of riding I'm doing. I found that I have three distinct positions:
Highway, Street and Twisties/Canyons (we don't have canyons...
Anyone found a good spot for the tax disc/holder?
The dealer didn't have the tax disc when I collect the bike but it's now turned up in the post but I can't find a good spot to bolt it on!
Wondering about just keeping the disc in my wallet, but I know thats illegal.
I finally had a chance to see/hear and sit on a S/ABS with full Termi's this weekend. Unfortunately I haven't been fortunate to ride it yet. I thought I'd still add another person's thoughts about the riding position and full Termi's though. We all know the bike is sexy as all could be so I dont...
