Hey everybody, It appears my 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale is leaking from the clutch slave push rod hole. I brought it into an authorized Ducati shop and they say it appears to be leaking from the push rod hole. They said there is a gasket that is there that is installed from the INSIDE of...

    Bolt on Shift Rod Seized?

My 2016 1299s is in the shop, and they're telling me that the "bolt on the counter shaft shift rod is seized" and it will take 2 labor hours to repair. And that this is "fairly common on these bolts due to the lock tight used by Ducati." This makes no sense to me. Has anyone experience this...

    Connecting Rod Install

Does anyone know of a good place in southern California to get connecting rods installed? I'm looking to replace the stock rods in my 899 with some CP Cariilo rods and was hoping someone could recommend a good shop that works on Ducati's. Thanks!

    R connecting rod

For you technology enthusiastic: Today I had a 1199R connecting rod in my hands. Not in it's final shape, but the raw piece after the forging process. Amazing piece of art in Titanium. They are made in Switzerland for Pankl. Connecting rod and rod cap are forged as one piece and splitted later...

Movement on DQS rod, is it normal?

I just noticed some movement on my DQS shift rod on my 1199. I am not sure if this is normal. I have had a look at other pictures on the net and the hex bolt is there as it is supposed to be but there is this lateral movement at the top joint.

    1199 base showa rod end

I have play in the front tie rod end (rose joint) of my rear shock (Showa; 1199 ABS Base). Ducati do not supply a replacement part for this, and their solution is to replace the entire shock at over £1000. Madness for a removable part! Does anybody know the correct size of rod end to...

    Adjusting shift rod

Anybody got any insight? During the race build they installed Lightech rearsets which converted the bike to GP shifting while keeping all the OEM sensors/etc. I need to move the shift lever down, but can't seem to get it done. On all my other ones, you break the nuts on both ends of...

    Threw a rod! (part 2)

Hey, I'll take that bait. It was entertaining. I have me a new batch of popcorn. Keep posting | | | V The story so far: Art posts he's thrown a rod and wonders that, since he didn't have service done at an authorized Duc Dealer...."Am I screwed"? Assured that current warranty law prevents...

    Censor on this Forum?

Closing a thread arbitrarily smells like censure to me. What does it matter what people in a thread say as long as they keep on talking? Does it have to make sense to the censors? I am very disappointed. While you are it why do you not just kick me out of this Forum (even though it was not my...

    Sato Racing suspension link rod

Today I saw an advertisement for a suspension link rod to replace the troublesome stock units on the 1199. No price shown but a picture of the piece can be seen on page 8 of the Jan '13 issue of Sport Rider magazine.
