    Rubber pad on seat cowl

Just a heads up. You might want to check yours. We did 700 miles in 2 days and running through the valley on a 100f day in stop n go traffic the rear was so hot mine literally fell off, the silicone let go. Thought I had it stuck back on good enough, luckily I was in front and the guys...

Is there a proper "tool" to remove the Oil filter cap (one with rubber o-rings)?

Hello all, I have searched this forum, Ebay and amazon (as well as google) and have not been able to find a proper tool to remove the oil filter cap. I have seen how-to write ups and people have improvised their own way of removing the annoying cap. Just wondering of Ducati sells a...

    Rubber: OEM not my favourite

I know ducati make these things run on diablos but I've never been a fan, I took them off of my last two ducati's and replaced them with Bridgy ST20s (best tyre ever made) Has anyone put ST20s on their Pani? I know they advise against it as it stuffs up the calibration of the bike but has...

Track-day Riders: Tire Warmers - What Rubber to use?

I ride my 1199 predominantly on the road; however, during 2014 I was fortunate to get to the local track (3 hrs away) for seven track-days. Seeing my enthusiasm for track-days and photos of my knee-down escapades, Santa brought me a set of Chicken-Hawk Tire warmers "out of concerns for my...

    Rubber Bellow Replacement on 1199s

Has anybody found any alternative to replacing the rubber bellows above the Front Ohlins Forks. Dealer told me the only way to replace them is to replace the whole entire system. They suggested that I remove them and use electrical tape to wrap the wires. I just can't get myself to do that...

    Rubber Bellow Replacement on 1199s

Hello everybody, I am a newbie to this forum. I asked the dealer if they could get these rubber bellows replaced, and they told me that they are not sold separately. They told me I would have to replace the whole entire setup. He told me to tear off the existing rubber bellows and use...

New tire decals.. Vulcanized rubber decals

After alot of research, trial and error we have finally found a way to get decals to adhere to tires.. The material is AMAZING!! No real thickness.. Decals are thermall printed on to special material thats 8 microns thick. (this helps it contour around anything as seen in photos). I chose to...

    Rubber covered electronics under seat?

This is probably stupid question, but I don't yet own a manual. Under the seat, inside the subframe is an long oval shaped 34pin electrical device built in rubber that literally mounts like a grommet inside the subframe. I'm stripping the bike out in the shop, and picked up my phone to try to...

Anyone with clutch res rubber swelling?

[delete] [delete] PS I figured it out; just because one bike's hydraulic clutch likes Mineral Oil, doesn't mean another likes it (ie use DOT4 in the 1199). The MO appears to attack the rubber in the res cap.
