scratched or cracked

Had this happen to my clocks. Don't know how or why. Left the bike, went for a coffee and it was like this when I came back. Really annoying and dunno how it happened. Looks like it's scratched or cracked. Anyone else had this happen. Not easy to see from the pic but looks like the...
