smoking

I recently purchased a 2014 1199. The bike has 2400 miles on it. I have noticed that every couple of start ups, it smokes, and smells of burning oil. The dealer showed me notice from DNA about break in and oil consumtion, but I'm not sure if that still applies as the bike has more than 600...

Just wondering if the 1299's are smoking. I know when the 1199 came out, lot of people were concerned because there was quite a bit of smoke until they got broken in. I'm curious to see if it's still like that for the 1299. New owners please chime in. Thank you.

Panigale Still Smoking At 6k Mileage Anybody still smoking at start up well into their miles? I actually am and I will take it into the dealer eventually....just wondering if anybody else is going thru the same situation....mileage now is at 5600
