Correct battery tender for 1098 S?

What's a good battery tender for a 1098 S (2011). That won't cost 100 bucks... saw some on amazon for 80+ but wasn't sure if there were better alternates.

    Battery Tender Jr.

So I just picked-up a Battery Tender Jr. Any opinions on whether it is a good idea to leave it plugged in at all times that the bike is parked? I'm debating whether to leave it plugged in at all times or just to plug it in a day before my ride (which is usually just on the weekends).
