wiring or race

What are you racers doing with the headlight wiring harness when you install a race fairing? I haven't unwrapped the harness yet, but it doesn't appear to separately unplug from the harness. do you leave it in? Do you trace it back to its origin and pull the connectors from the harness? Thanks...
