So I just finished my first decent ride in warm weather and when I opened the gas cap to fuel up I got a face full of gas.. it sprayed about 5' in the air and got all over me and the bike... Has anyone had this happen to them? What did I do wrong? Now I'm afraid to open the gas cap :(...

I just read that the speedometer is intentionally wrong but 5%. It states that the instrument panel gates the speed and then displays it with an increase of 5%. Why would they do this?
