Hello All,

I wanted to share my V4 experience with the people that are interested. I've owned 16 Kawasaki's and 1 Bmw this is my first Ducati. I detail cars and bikes so bare with me because I may do things a bit different than most. That being said lets start the show.

After getting the bike home its time to get it dialed in.
First wash

After getting the bike washed decontaminated clayed and dried its time to inspect the paint

The paint was in horrible condition from being "wiped down" at the dealership and people sitting on the bike.

So I did a 2 step paint correction to fix the damage from the dealer.
Here are the those same panels afterwards.

yeah I neglected my OCD on the paint & cleanslyness of my bike after the inspection. One day I’ll get it corrected but I been riding the hell out of it and it gets parked wet.

It was a life long dream to have a Ducati, envisioned having it on display and taking it out for the occasional warm, dry ride. But after my ride home from the dealership it reinvigorated my love for motorcycling


I was coming off a Daytona 675. I didn’t consider the Ducati was going to be 4x faster than it. Thought of it as just art, like my 675. It’s crystal white (sparkles) over sapphire blue and I corrected the paint on it and coated it and it looks supreme... however, I’makso considering getting the Dip Your Car kit so I can change the color as I please while protecting the plastics

I hope you get the polisher out and sort that rough red paint. It’ll look even more stunning.

Whenever I get a new bike I want try to get it protected first so I can ride it with no worries. So while I was getting the paint up to par this piece came in.

With the bottom of the gas tank being exposed that sticky Pirelli SC would destroy the paint. Now I don't have to worry

V4EVO tank cover.

The bottom gas tank protector is a must. You should see the underneath of the passenger seat on my triumph at 15,000 miles.

how’s the factory exhaust for you? it’s tough to come up with $7k for the Akra system.. but I really want it when I finally buy a V4

Removed the front wheel cleaned and deconed it ready for ceramic coating.

Rear one also removed cleaned then brought inside for coating.

Coated both wheels and all calipers with Gtechniq C5 wheel armour

Ok back to the prep.
Got the bike disassembled ready for the coating stage

Fairings will be coated with Gtechniq CSL and EXO for a top coat

After getting the fairings coated I let them cure for a couple days.
So I stopped by the Ducati shop to pick up a few goodies.

Now that the fairings are fully cured I added PPF to the high impact areas.
I normally do the front nose fairing the headlights and the front fender.
This was a precut kit from the tankslapper. I did xpel ultimate on the gloss parts and xpel stealth on the matte fender.

Aella Titanium caliper spacers/reflector delete.

V4EVO Titanium frame bolts

Carbon frame covers.
Must have on the silver frame V4. These are the Peter lieb ones. Fit and finish is excellent.

Mirror delete Signals
Got these to get rid of those factory mirrors and the bike looks a lot better IMO.

Replaced the bolts that came with the signals with a slighty longer Ti ones.

Anodizing is really nice. Adding the torque specs right on the part is pretty cool.

230Nm is the correct figure IIRC not 220Nm, though as that is an aluminium nut, I am not sure what it's tensile strength is, hence why I would opt for Titanium as a preference.

Both sides have lower torque specs. I would assume it’s based on the material. They are both working flawlessly I will definitely keep a eye on it.

I usually do a clear screen but my local Ducati shop had both in stock so I was able to compare them side by side. The smoke one isn't that dark so I went with it.
