I just posted a video to fix this. In addition to the fan switch, you can buy carbon heat shields that cover the rear subframe-to-vertical cylinder attachment area that's burning your thighs.

Brentunning - Thank me later, my bike doesnt go over 195 anymore unless im booking it 170+, first gear bog? non existent . they really made the bike a beast meanwhile making it so much of a practical bike.

um, don't wear shorts or jeans? seriously, i know it's summer and it's hot but you really should wear appropriate protection and as such, you'll be protected from the excessive heat as well.


I don't wear shorts while riding , however that was suggested to me by local riders, I'm one of two Ducati riders in town. I purchased some riding jeans at cycle gear, this is my third Ducati that I own and it's the only one that burns my inner thighs. Weather here is 106*F at the moment.

Otherwise, check your seating position, legs should be closer to the tank, still hot, but won't be burning you

I believe it's the aluminum Frame which is burning me, my crotch area is usually flush with the tank when riding.

Try these covers to separate your inner thighs from touching the hot aluminium side sub frame. I bought mine from Conquest Carbon in the UK but they don't stock them anymore.
