Hi,
Just found this on my rear tire. Unfortunately need to buy a new one. Is the 200/55 zr17 Super corsa v2 sp rear tyre the one that I should go for? Thanks in advance.

I put on the 200/60 V3 SP and I rate it. Tips in easier, quicker steering and excellent feel. But a 200/55 would also be fine.

I ran nothing but the OEM Supercorsas on my 1199 until recently. I decided to try a set of Diablo Rosso IIIs front and rear. They are a lot cheaper and should wear a lot longer. I have about 2,500 miles on them now and wish I had done it sooner.

I feel zero difference in every respect. We don’t have a lot of great roads around where I live, but I run what we have pretty hard. The chicken strips were completely gone on the rear the first time I rode it.

been thinking about ordering a set of those. thanks for the input.

in the book it lists two front tire choices in the same 120'70/17 one says ducati spec.
Do you know what that is all about?

thanks again

We saw that too, but I must confess that is not what I ordered. Unless you track the bike or do just plain stupid stuff on the street, I cannot imagine not liking these. I run 100-110 mph in big 90 degree curves with the tires all the way to the edge, have not felt any slip.

To summarise my question should I go for 200/55 V3 or V2 rear tire(taking into consideration that front one is new V2)?Thanks

Have spoken to Pirelli representative in Poland and was advice that it is recommended to change for the same type set of tyres only. V3 are highly recommend but taking into consideration that I do have V2 in front I should go for V2 rear tire too.

I'd say that any manufacturer will say this response every time every situation. But I'd stick with the V2 though simply because i'd rather have my rear tire be one that steps out. the V3 is supposed to have superior traction and carcass design .
