Notes on Full Akra exhaust systems

Noticed some differences between models with Akra full exhaust and thought i'd share them.

Differences noticed:

- Pre '22 low mount - only 2 oxygen sensor provisions even on Euro 5 models (2 loom plugs provided with kit)
- Couldn't find assembly instructions for the '22 low mount system but it does have a different part number
- '22 Undertail system - 4 oxygen sensor provisions + bung location a little further downstream of exhaust flow on front manifolds

Interesting. My Akra full system is p/n 96481383C (as opposed to 96481386C) and it does not include the O2 sensor eliminator plugs. Everything else is identical. But, the instructions you list for the pre '22 low mount is for a EU5 bike which has 4 O2 sensors. With the Akra install only two are used since its the same pipes as the EU4. So you'd block off the unused O2 sensor plugs.

I wonder why on a race system they even bothered with using narrow band O2 sensors at all.

The 96481386C instructions include notes for both euro 4 & 5.

Agreed on the lack of wide band on race exhaust, should be accommodated.

Well, yeah. They are adopting a EU4 kit to EU5 bikes. It would be much more expensive of a change to add 2 more O2 sensor bungs to the legacy system than to toss in two eliminator plugs to yolo the thing.

IIRC, the Akra full system on my 1199 had wideband bungs and included adapters for narrow.

Interesting that the torque spec for the subframe to frame bolts is reduced to 24 Nm.
