So I have just had an email land in my inbox inviting me to check out the Superleggera V4 or project 1708 as they're calling it.

Little to no real detail yet and they will be releasing information bit by bit. However, it does appear to show a carbon swing arm!

Yes - most of the projects show "more to come" and also makes we wonder if it is a lead into the next V4.

its the v4 SL -- i'm getting an error trying to get in....same thing happened with Project 1408 (1299SL)....it takes a day or so, after you get the email

It is for the SL and the only item they have is a video & information called shaping lightness with a teaser of the lightweight parts that will be on the bike.

Titanium camshafts and full akra exhaust with no cat converter, I wonder if it's a track only bike like the HP4 race? Carbon fibre swingarm too

It will be a street legal bike but like the former SL will come with full exhaust for track.

Yeah. I don't know. I haven't even gotten motivated enough to get off the sidelines for the 1299 Superleggera. My 1199 Superleggera is barely usable as it is when compared to my 996R or something like that. Maybe I'm just getting old.

“Dreams matter” slogan for SL is imo smart marketing for tech which is very real for years in premium racing... They probably mean ‘dreams for the common but wealthy matter’? ;p

Okay, I hate to say this but I might be a sucker for this (hey, marketing works).

I got the invitation and I was like, "yeah, that's interesting but I don't think so." And then I got a couple of videos and a sheet of the specs and now I am *gasp* actually thinking about it.

We will see. I need to see more but now I am thinking about it whereas before I was thinking it was highly unlikely.

if you get email, you have also received the invite to visit the factory and see the bike first... 1/27-2/4. Not sure everyone has the means to get there, see the bike first hand, but i am sure it will be a nice treat
