I decided to mount some Rizoma mirrors but wanted to keep my stock bar ends. And so I fabricated some spacers/bushings out of a $1.97 cutting board.

I took a few measurements:

Then I cut the cutting board and then used a hole saw bit to make a disk.

Then I used a sharp edge to trim it to size:

And sandpaper to smooth it out:

I adjusted the mirrors while out on a ride and it took very little time to get used to them. They really clean up the lines when combined with the tail tidy and passenger seat cowl.

much cleaner lines but I would never make it through the front door))

was it chilly a mile high? I rode up the French Broad to Hot Springs then up to Greenville...farm country.

57 degrees. Not too bad. The difficult part is the longer shadows cast by the sun being lower in the sky. You transition from bright sunlight to dark shadows in a curve and it’s easy to lose your line.

Great craftsmanship i. I personally don’t like bar end mirrors. I just don’t understand why Ducati performance doesn’t offer better ones, shaped like the original but made of aluminum…

Thank you, gents. Other than making the bike’s profile a few inches wider, I like them. They are very useful compared to the OEM antenna-style stalk mirrors in that they don’t become useless at 5k rpms and above.
