Thinking about selling 1199 Superleggera #107

Hello Ducatiforum,

As the title states I'm thinking about listing my 1199 SL. I'm trying to figure out what a good sale price would be, I know a few are listed in various places but price is all over the place.

I'm the original owner, the bike currently sits at just over 1800 miles. All service work has been performed yearly. I just had the forks rebuilt, as recommended by Ducati at the 5 year mark.

If anyone has recently bought or sold and 1199 SL and dont mind disclosing the price I would really appreciate it.

Thanks everyone!

My local dealer has had one for sale for around a year for $42,500. Exact same miles as yours.
Is that the one at Ducati Austin? I was thinking listing it for around 43,000. I think thats a fair deal for a private sale. Like anything, if someone makes an offer than makes sense, then I'll let it go but I dont want to give it away either.

Thanks for the input!

Yep. I believe it's on consignment, so realistically that guy is getting around $38k for it. Looked like a well cared for bike. I think you might be sitting on it for awhile at $43k. Looks like trade in value is $32,400. I think you'd get a bite in the $39k range.

Now you all are just trying to hurt feelings! Around 40 I would let it go, I think. Too far below that and it'll just continue to look cool in my living room and go for the occasional ride. I guess I'll get some pictures taken and list it and see what happens. Thanks for the help everyone.

Keep in mind the warranty has expired which has an effect on resale - typically, if you ride the bike at all, not just let it sit.....it will need maintenance beyond the scope of an oil change - make sure the latest recall (oil leak issue) is done and hope for the best that it solves the issue - granted if you’re not putting miles on it there is no issue except for the new owner

I ride it about once a month to keep everything running as it should. I've had all maintenance done like clock work. Like I said, I just had the forks rebuilt earlier this year because they were due to be serviced at the 5 year mark. Mechanically the bike is as good, if not better, than when I took delivery of it.

I do appreciate the feed back though!

Dealers are getting less than that before negotiating... Ypure looking $35K private sale on a good day given the time of year.
