I got this yellow triangle pop up on lower right side of my SFV4S dash .I’ve the Futurismoto tail tidy and noticed that lic plate light doesn’t come on .It must have been the lic plate bulb error.Checked the tail tidy and noticed that one wire has come off that micro LED for lic plate light .The yellow triangle suddenly disappeared last night and the lic plate light is still not working.Any idea why this triangle disappeared? The yellow triangle on dash disappeared during night time when the headlights came on .Thanks in advance.

IIRC, the bike is looking for a certain resistance value in the circuit, which is how it knows something is off or wrong. Maybe the headlight changed things, but I'm only speculating. I switched my FM tail from a Streetfighter to a Panigale and had to swap plugs. I accidentally pulled off one of the license plate LED's. I ended up drilling it out and adding a license plate LED bolt I bought off of Amazon.

I installed this which I bought on Amazon after drilling out the old LED which was set in epoxy to the FM tail tidy. It does a better job of being a license plate light than the OEM FM placement. I don't think you need to be super hung up on the exact specs of the LED. As long as there's some detectable resistance there you should be ok. I suppose you could always measure the FM or OEM license plate light with a multimeter then duplicate that reading by adding a resistor to whatever aftermarket LED you're using, but I don't think you have to hit an exact spec. Again, speculating here, but I think the CANbus is looking for some resistance within a range, not an exact figure.

Installed, it looks like this...bike is currently is track mode, so the FM tail is in the basement.
