Whys that? The only difference is that the comfort has a small section of leather. I bought this one because it is nice and uniform, just like the Panigale

Well I've been in all situations with the race seat and haven't had any "grip" issues. I don't think alcantara (sp?) is slippery at all when wet, unlike leather.

You're right there. The SF race seat soaks up water like a sponge but still like it better then the comfort
