The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I opened up my reservoir for my back brake to check the level. My stupid dumb elbow accidentally hit the rear brake down... it then launched a bubble of dot4 across the garage as I yelled a bunch of 4 letter words. I have now proceeded to bleed the brakes...
I bled about 1/4 can of DOT4 and I'm getting no pressure...

I do know how to bleed brakes I do it for all my vehicles and Japanese dirtbikes for years. I did some research and so I took off the caliper and turned it upside down so it will have easier time with air in the line... got maybe 10% brake power back and lots of bubbles came out.... I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I am manually bleeding brakes with pumping the brake lever down and up. I have a buddy doing the opening and closing.

Since you got air in it, you have to get the caliper higher than the master and have the bleed nipple on the caliper at the 12 o'clock position.

If you're just doing a fluid flush, you can remove one caliper bolt and leave it hanging vertically so the nipple is at the 12 o'clock. As long as you don't get air in it, you won't need to get the caliper above the master.

So air did get in and I did take off the caliper to the 12 o'clock position and just fluid only coming out... ugh. I did get ahold of a mechanic and he told me to also tap the caliper with a hammer while bleeding. I will have to try that when I get back from my vacation.
