Can someone confirm that the Dainese Two piece suit jacket part cannot be worn without the pants? Meaning you cannot wear jeans and the jacket?

It can be worn with jeans for street riding, but why would you risk it by wearing jeans and no overpants? Jeans shreds like paper on asphalt.....

I use riding jeans for riding around town. But I heard the jacket is too short to be worn without the zippered pants.

Yes. Dainese 2 piece suits have short jackets and are designed to nbe worn together.

The 2016 Dainese 2 piece suits will be made with longer jackets.

This is a tough choice, something I'm going to probably make a decision on today.

I'm been wearing a Vanson one piece suit for years for track riding. It's plain black and about a size too big for me as I've lost about 30lbs since I bought it.

I going down to my local Ducati dealership today to have a custom fit measurements taken by a Dianese rep with the intentions of having a custom fit suit made.

Realistically, I don't need a track only suit, but I would like a suit for street sport riding and a two piece would be more convenient for that.

STW, probably see you down there today?....

i have both never wore a 2 piece on the track though. im sure it would be fine.

Never tried a 2-piece but I can see how it'd be nice at stops where you'd spend more time than it takes to fill up and grab a drink or something. I've been wearing a 1-piece for years now on my street rides, which are mostly spirited. I was contemplating getting a 2-piece when I bought a Diavel for obvious reasons but I traded it in after 4 months because I found a Pani S on the cheap and it's my dream bike. So until I own another more cruiser-type bike I'll be in my 1-piece. Saved my ass too many times not to.

I'd say if you do 5 or more track days per year, get a 1 piece.

If you are more casual and like to wear leathers on the road, get a nice 2 piece.

In my opinion it just depends on where your riding preferences are

I also chose to move from a 2-piece to a 1-piece once I started spending more time at the track.

However, I actually feel like the 1-piece is LESS hassle. Maybe it's just me, but zipping my leathers together was a bitch. 2-piece was incredibly inconvenient for me.

Both suits are Dainese, FWIW. Love my 1-piece!

Arsehammer prefers you to have the 3 piece with removable backdoor flap for ease of entry. :D
