I have a 2008 1098S, rode last week and rode a little rough when getting on throttle; Went to turn on today and would crank over but would not start. After a few cranks I was able to get it to run; sounds like a ticking noise with valve train. I purchased it with 7500 miles and no valve adjustments had been made; it currently has 10750 miles.

Nice bike Roberto. Maybe don’t try starting it up again until you have an answer.
Do you have a local Ducati service center that can come and pick it up?
Or are you your own mechanic?

This is the first time having any issues with bike; I'm glad i was able to video record it on start up so I do not have to start up again until I can figure out what to do first; I will attempt to fix whatever the issue is myself. I just wanted to see if i could find someone with this exact problem in order to start search of problem there

yes, I would park it and check the clearances on the valves and also check the belts/timing. checking them is less involved than setting the clearance.

battery fresh? plugs look normal?
