Nice, thanks bro...he didn't show how to change backlight from white to black tho. Or does it changes automatically at night?

Good question. From the price of the bike i'd say it will change automatically at night.

Fingers crossed it works well and first do a stupid change when you ride under a short tunnel or something like the auto headlights on some cars come on then off.

How is the bike supposed to know if its day or night, since I doubt it has an ambient light sensor

Also, remember that for many EU countries, the bike must be programmed to switch the dipped beam on while running - day or night.

At 2:11 in the video there's a backlight choice in that menu level; no idea if there's an auto mode as with a lot of cars these days, but I doubt it.

Thanks for sharing, Nick - nice to see this beast coming into clearer view bit by bit. Looking reasonably good so far... ;)

Yeah, on one of the press rides they mentioned that you can change it from white to black...so im assuming its all manual.

I hope it is only manual !! we dont need ambient sensor, no more weight, tho touch screen woulda been nice lol.

Man i've watched so many videos of this bike when I do pick mine up I already know what settings i'll use, dont need no breifing, just jump on and go.

My dreams of riding this thing are so intense I feel like I already know what it's gonna feel like lol.

My girl doesnt understand my obsession and love for something I dont even have yet...its like an unborn child ;)

Awesome. The interface is perfect. Way to go, Ducati. You'd think the land of the rising sun would have come up with something like this first, but man they just got punk'd.

Thats what I was going to say...Looks to be all manual, I will be choosing black back screen!!!

As I know it is possible to change it manual from white to black but it is possible to let it change automaticly also. :D

You can try it with the TFT simulator ... there are three setting modes "DAY" "NIGHT" and "AUTO"

Cheers for that Nick......Going to make the first ride a bit easier the more things like this go up.

theres a video somewhere of someone taking the bike out of the pits and through the tunnel, you can see the auto backlight work there ;)

I'm not sure Scott. That could just be the dimmer artificial tunnel lighting making the screen look brighter.

If anything, the backlight would need to turn down, rather than up, for the tunnel, as outside was so bright.

i thot such "smart auto backlight" for the cluster was already first implemented in the past 999 series.................this should be nothing new for te 1199...

How do you get into the advanced stuff?

I could only work out how to change modes, not edit the mode settings...

EDIT: N'mind. Found it :)

OK, help me out I couldn't find the advanced changes .. help me .. help me .. please
