Hi all,

That sounds like a stupid question, but when I bought my used (almost new) 1199R the crooks at the dealership lied by telling me the bike never came with an OEM exhaust but only with the Termignioni exhaust. Now I want to buy an OEM exhaust just in case I need it. I assume the stock exhaust for 1199 and 1199S all years are the same as the OEM that was supposed to come on my 1199R. Just don't want to buy a part that won't fit.

Thanks for the help guys and gals.

:D

Im not sure about US... but here in Aus, the termi race exhaust on he 1199R was stock. only the base and S had the standard exhaust.

However in answer to your question, yes it will fit, but AFAIK it has to be the whole exhaust, you can't match the stock OEM pipes/cans to the termi race pipes/cans. Its all or none.

The OEM 1199 exhaust will fit the 1199R model. It actually was on the bike when shipped to the US then the dealers had to install the Termi exhaust onto it.

Thanks for the info, yeah that is what I thought but those crooks kept telling me the bike came with NO exhaust mounted at all, but hey it was still a good deal ;-)

Take care

The 1199R came with the standard exhaust fitted and the full system cam with it in a box .

The reason why it is sold with the standard exhaust too is that the Termignonis are "for track use only". :D

maybe when it was traded in they never received the stock exhuast, also a lot of people just junked the stock system when it was swapped over, why would you need it??

Well just figured if I need to put the stock exhaust on if I end up exporting the bike to another country (since my job is overseas) so at least I can register it there and pass the noise and emissions test. :p

Mine came with the Termi in a box and street exhaust mounted. I was told it was to pass emissions on import. I still have the street exhaust in a box PM if interested.

Every time we sell a bike here, has to have an inspection and has to be returned to OEM specs (OEM fender, indicators, exhaust etc), otherwise you cant register the bike, so OEM exhausts here are needed. Otherwise yes, you'd just throw it in the bin.
