This past Saturday went to a "1199 Panigale Academy" hosted at Charlotte Motorcycles in Charlotte NC.
Also had a 1299 and Scrambler there as part of the 2015 product tour. While I still don't have much interest in the Scrambler, I have to admit it looks better in person than in all the Ducati Hipster beard-n-flannel marketing hooey their advertising media packages it in.

This is what you'll need to pull the cylinder liners up/out and split the cases. Interesting that the 1199 and 1299 share the same cases - they changed the liners (and, of course, the pistons). The 1299 liners are steel because they're thinner and the nickasil in the 1199 can't be milled that thin and take the pressures.

Had also gone with the idea of test riding a Triumph Speed Triple (interested in it for a base to make a Sport-Tourer to replace my Triumph Sprint ST. But the place was pretty packed so didn't get a chance to do that. Maybe next time. But Motorcycle Charlotte had a nice place. Great event. Free food too! Nice way to spend a Saturday.
