1199 sp

Doubt it...look at the product cycle history for Ducati, it's like clock work. The only one that surprised me is the continuation of the 848, I thought for sure they were releasing the "849" this year.

That SP on the EPA list was there last year too (even before the R was on there). I imagine it's a typo. My guess is that we may not see a SP till 2015. Ducati has committed to building and selling at least 1000 Rs in 2013 and 1000 more Rs in 2014 for World SBK homologation.

Ok.. I am gonna admit ignorance here.. but where would an SP fit in the range and what would expect it to have??

color me confused. what can they give a bike beyond the R? what would make it more special than that, beyond a paint job?

If it came out it may just have a whole stack of DP parts as standard.

Maybe even a CF fairing and a unique paint job.

Then again that would probably be a SENNA which would at least benefit the foundation.

well so it'll be no better than the tricolore, probably not as good if no termis? so the pecking order would be:

1. base (ABS)
2. S
3. SP
4. Tricolore
5. R

i don't see it happening unless it replaces the tri.

The things I can think of would be Corse paint job (love the 1198 Corse paint job) and active ohlins suspension, lots of carbon and other dp parts. Maybe new rims.

In the 1098/1198 the SP had way more extra cool parts then the 1098 Tri so I think a 1199 sp would have more extras then the 1199 Tri .
