It is possible, I bought a cheap 1199 rearset to try onmy 1299. No problem so far
Image is so tiny! Hard to see. Did you have to modify it slightly?

you can also see in the first picture here on why the older 1199 rearsets won't work. They had to mill out a relief in the mounting bracket, the 1199 one is cut straight down like the picture from 1299Pani above: http://ducati1299.com/mechanical-te...ar-set-foot-controls-gp-shift-except-1st.html
