1199R Brembo rcs19 compatibility

Just to clarify, I'm not recommending anyone put a 19mm master on their 1199. I was illustrating the differences in lever ratios and why you might one or the other, but for the 1199 that would be with the 17mm Brembo setup, which is not available yet. On my 1199 i replaced the entire braking system including the rotors and calipers, and I can assure you that my brakes had more power AND feel than the stock setup. I'm not commenting on ABS at all in this discussion, only lever ratios and racing quality components vs the stock parts. On my 899 I'm putting the 19x20 racing master with the stock calipers and rotors, and ABS. I'm going to try that and if it's not up to the performance I want then I'll start replacing other parts and removing ABS if necessary.

Ok, Brembo says our backorders should start to be filled before the end of July, so just a couple weeks. We have some pre-sold that will be filled from the backorder shipment, but I'll have extras so I can hold one for you if you want, just let me know.

This has been a really interesting thread.

Back at the track with the Pani today after a long absence while racing the HP4 and it acquitted itself well. I did notice the long travel of the lever and whilst the bike seems to stop fine it was a bit disconcerting.

I really liked the change that the RCS19 made on my hP4 but I found the very 'progressive' nature of the Pani's brakes great for trail braking. I was wondering whether if I used the same dual sinter Brembo Z04 pads that I maybe could stick with OEM MC.

Has anyone tried the RCS17 yet? How does it change the braking feel and performance? Please be sure to mention which pads you are running as well?
