R delivery quandary
By the way, from what my dealer said, part of the R delivery quandary (March vs May vs May 2014
) may not be DNAs fault. (Not defendin' DNA, just 'splainin'.)
Most dealers I dealt with told me "May" for R delivery. Once I expressed interest in the R, my Sacramento, CA dealer gave me the 411:
A lot depends on when the dealer committed to buying the R's. Some dealers hesitated and got the May production/shipment date. My dealer took a risk, ordered first chance they could and got the March date. Either way, delay or no delay, dealers that ordered the R first, get 'em before dealers that waited.
Also, once you put some cash down and claim the dealer-ordered bike, DNA puts some sort of priority production/delivery on it. (So ask your dealer when they ordered your R AND if they attached your name to it yet.)
Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know, doesn't make the wait seem any shorter....
But soon, our R's are ours.
