1199S E-Lock

Hi,
I thought i'd give my bike a run up today but the dash showed E-lock? i cant either seem to change the dash from the every day mode and not sure if the bike has had a PIN code entered ? any clues or is it yet another visit to the main dealer?

The e-lock message displays when the bike doesn't recognize the key and the pin lock system is active. If you don't know the pin code, then yes a trip to the dealer is in order. Or you could try the default code. I believe it's in your owner's manual?

Thank you But I cant seem to be able to change the dash to allow me to enter a pin?

Sorry I stand corrected. If the pin code function is NOT active, you'll only get the e-lock error with no option to enter a pin code. Looks like you're taking a trio to the dealer.

If you read your owner's manual and activated the pin lock feature you wouldn't be in this situation. But, if you want to go back to a Japanese made product, then by all means go! BTW, "Jap" is a derogatory and racist term!
