For Sale 1199s for 12k someone jump on this!

I saw that the other day but the pictures were of an S not a base. I emailed the guy but no responce.. Usually scams are pretty transparent, this ones not; but I smell something fishy.. There are some phrases in the text that are a little off and the town is spelled wrong.. Also, the bike has bar ends, CW fender eliminator, CF clutch cover, and I see at least one recall in the form of the heat shield.. "Most" ducati guys would add those things to the ad..
When I emailed him I asked him to clarify what model it was sighting it was an S in the ad; low and behold new pics show up....

Agreed with Phil on this man.
Id (of course this is ONLY my opinion here) list it for a bit more so you have some wiggle room my friend. Hate to see a pristine bike like this go away so inexpensive which hurts the rest of us on resale value (Kinda) :eek:

I mean, I realize your wife is Anti-Ducati (or Anti Bike) but don't take a beating on it so fast brother. Hell, I bet thats close to what trade in value is- which I bet you checked already - What was trade value?

Well, GLWS anyway but my 3 cents would be to bump it up some so you can come down off that is need be. Unless you already got hits from a number of people on it which is VERY possible here!! :D
 
If my misses were anti bike and making me put my bike for sale... You better believe it would be for sale for some stupid rediculous amount, let's say 45-48k ... Just to ensure the bike would no sell but to appease the misses and show her it's for sale :D
 
Oh. Guess my stupid TBI is really screwing up my brain and ability to process things into context again. This is why I can't ride much - unless I have the dam GPS mounted on Universal X-Grip and Ram mount! UGH.

the ad never said it was an s it says 1199 abs. they did make those at one point. all the pictures are of a base and is what the guy said. he didnt list fender eliminator so what i would forget that too and the picture shows it. why is this a scam again?
 
Read what I said about his original ad. I didnt say it was listed as an S, I said he had pictures of an S in the original ad. When I emailed him with questions the ad was relisted with the base model pictures and I never got an email back..

sounds about right for the real street price.. people are free to ask what they want, original owners tend to ask a very high price because they dished out over $18000-$23000 just 24-36 months ago and now the bike is going for $12,000-$13500..So I fully understand..

which is why I could never buy new..but I am not rich so i can't relate..
