I wanted to share a quick pic of my new (to me) 1199S, delivered Friday. I've only put 100 or so miles on it this weekend but - good god - this bike is incredible! I spent some time detailing it (it was a bit dirty) and really enjoyed finding all of the little design & engineering details. I just wish they'd revert back to fairings that didn't require an hour and multiple tools to remove...

I might be the only person who has bought dB killers for the full termi system but this bike didn't come with them, and I must not be man enough to ride this thing around at full volume :p. I'm also going to have to break myself of the habit of compulsively hitting the "turn signal cancel" button while riding since it also brings up the mode change screen on this bike. Off to ride!

Omg!!! Finally someone who can relate! I compulsively do this too so I'm not "that guy", been doing it for years... Totally fu$!in bugs me to have that button perform more functions than cancel the blinker!

Nice! I bought my 2012 1199 back in October last year and had it shipped to my house in a crate. Longest 2-3 weeks of my life waiting on it. But i have put a little over 2000 miles on it since then and I still can't ride it full volume. I use settings race mode 195hi, dtc4, ebc off, dqs on and its crazy fast I always get an adrenaline rush when giving it a hard pull shifting through the gears with dqs. I always thought I was a pretty advanced rider on a street bike but this super bike is a whole different level! have fun Fancypants!

Congrats FP, and having spent the last couple of weekends adding bling items I completely agree that the fairings are unnecessarily complex.
Still, you wait till you strip down the tail unit, makes the fairings look like a breeze in comparison.

Congrats on your 1199S, I recently picked up a leftover 2013 S myself, just put 1600 miles on her and cant stop smiling every time I ride it.....

congrats buddy. i just picked up my used 1199S tricolore about a 3 weeks ago. already put 800 miles on the bike since then. :) i always wear ear plugs when i ride so i can't tell how loud my full termi really is.
