Hello, name is Charles you guys can call me wicc like john I’ve got a pearl white 1199 located in Detroit, Mi. Her name is Brittany got the bike apr 4 of 2021 came with a full termi system currently running a Dunlop roadsport 2 on the rear and usual pirelli rosso 3 on the front rk 525XSO gold chain superlite sprockets 16 front and 41 rear.
May 8th of 21 I heard clacking near the clutch. Called ducati told them what was going on, opened the clutch cover to see slight damage and a loose gear. I had to get the engine replaced with a used unit due to idle oil pump gear failure. Somehow the e clip came out the rod and gear was jumbling and scratched the cases. Since then I’ve had a leak coming from the clutch cover area that I have asked Ducati to fix multiple times, they stated it was the o ring on my oil fill cap but that didn’t alleviate the issue. Also im not sure but im pretty sure my top end is leaking oil because its all over my tank after a ride w a few wheelies. Nit sure if its related but theres been backfiring from the top end too (thought my balls were gonna be blown off lol) and the bike has cut out twice. Takes a second to start after. I did have a low speed slide this past riding season due to mud and branches in the street broke the shifter to which i now have a woodcraft adjustable shifter pedal. Now has slight left side fairing damage and will likely be replaced w full carbon. She needs a fork rebuild as well which will be done before next spring not sure if rebuild marzocchi switch to ohlins any input would be helpful on that aspect.
