Had a REALLY Bad Day Yesterday on my New V4!

Thanks folks, farmed it out to AMS Ducati Dallas for a quote, $1000.00 labor for R&R oil sump, clean up bike and R&R rear tire.

Oil sump - 3.5 Hours
Clean up/Degrease - 1.0 Hour
Rear Tire Change - .5 Hour

Total Parts - $962.00

Sounds a lot better than $4000-$5000...

I have never let a dealer do anything to my bikes before other than a tire change; but in this case I want to go through a Ducati dealer should a future warranty claim arise. $2000 is cheap peace of mind for a week old motorcycle with 84 miles.

Yessir, they seem to know their way around a Ducati pretty well, it's all they do....

The major discrepancy between quotes seems to be AMS is not going to drop the exhaust, just the heatshield while the other Ducati shop insists the exhaust has to come off before the pan, I don't know either way since I've never done one before.
My other concern is damage to the internal oil pump pickup tube that extends to the sump bottom, that sump bottom took a nasty hit.
