Beats buying new. These are getting harder to come by and I'm really just trying to replace it with a 1299S led.
I see between 5 and 10 of these weekly on eBay.com. I'd hardly call that hard to come by. More and more people are turning their "old" 1199's into race bikes, bikes are being crashed and stripped and sll those parts are what you find on eBay for $500.
You obviously have a pricing strategy you feel is appropriate so again good luck.
This is eerily similar to the postings I read saying $1,000 for a stock exhaust. "Oh but it costs 3,000 from Ducati so I'm selling a God deal".

I've been on message board for a lot of years on a lot of topics and I learned early to be the bigger person. Some people just have zero etiquette. That said, there's nothing wrong in keeping an eye out for his future bst threads ;-)

I was in the market for one for about two months. One sold on eBay for $600, the other for $750. You can go search completed listings for all those in agreement with this gentleman. Find one for sale currently on 1299 forum or 899.org. Maybe my eBay is inferior to yours. If you could this week let me know of 5-10 available, I'll have some data to model my asking price off of.
But I digress,
