As for the tank sliders - yea, they are just flimsy carbon pieces. Will definitely send zohsix a PM.

No idea, but that's quite literally what happened. There was oil splattered all up and down the sides of (what was left of) the R1. The guys in the pits said they could hear the pop when it blew.

I predicted a while back that the crossplane crank motor was at its limits stock.

Glad you're ok. I seen a new 1299 blow at Aragon. Gearbox/output shaft failure. A nice little hole and a fine mist of oil resulted in some bikes crashing.
I have a unused Trexx slider puck with logo if you want one..

sorry to hear about the crash but you walked away from what could have been a nasty situation.

good luck in the racing season and hopefully the bike will get repaired quickly.
