Hey guys so I’ve tried to research as much as possible before posting but I’m having trouble. So the bike was running fine, and then all the sudden go to start it one day and getting engine error. Gives me p0120, and p0220. I checked the tps wiring and sprayed some contact cleaner and put some dielectric grease in them both. I also was checking the, I think it’s called, bullet connector? That connects into the air box. I do have a rapid bike on this bike. One of the male pins is slightly off, and little loose but it fits up just fine to the air box side. I’m not very electrical savvy but I’m learning. I am gunna look up how to reset pins. But any one have suggestions? Might have to just suck it up and take her in the dealer :( I also have had an issue before where the bullet connector came loose while riding. And basically gave me same thing that’s happening now. (Just checked my phone for the picture of the engire errors from the last time and it is the same codes. Somust be this plug i guess)

The pin in question, pin R is the vertical TPS main. These are the tools and pins required to service that circular connector. If the male (harness side) pin is cracked or has a continuity issue the service department will probably attempt to sell you a new harness and the required service to install it, probably 2k for the harness and installation. The odds of the service department having spare pins and the tools and going to the trouble of undressing the harness and doing a repair are zero. If you have a bad TPS sensor, (photo) those are not available separately, Ducati will sell you an entire throttle body assembly $$$$

I was typing some BS but Endo came in and owned the .... out of this thread.

:p
LOL, hate to be the delivery driver for the bad news but unfortunately, I’ve seen this exact scenario (different pin, main V injector) and sure enough, $1400.00 and change for a new harness was the dealers solution. The TPS is a $31.00 part through Mikuni but they won’t sell them much like Bosch won’t sell the Ducati specific Fuel Injectors or the Ducati spec IMUs. Almost $800.00 for a $200.00 Bosch IMU. Pretty .......

So the male side is part of the rapid bike I’m pretty sure no? Been a minute since I installed that. Maybe I can contact him for a new harness? That’s if I decide not to try the repair myself.

I’m also seeing tps sensor on eBay. It looks like it has 2 screws on each side so maybe it can come off? It’s from an 1199 though.

Yep forgot about the RB. So that TB harness is inline from the main harness to the air box. Get rid of the RB harness and plug the main harness back into the air box and see if your problem goes away. If you found a TPS on eBay, pick it up

Thank you so much for your help sir.

If it does end up being one of those pins. Can you pick up new pins at auto parts store? What are they called?

Okay so hooked up the oem harness and took off the rapid bike. She’s still showing engine error. But she sounds better starting up? Uninstalled the battery for 15 min trying to see if it would erase the engine error but gunna try and hook it up to the computer to see if it will then.

So I’m not getting those error codes anymore. I am just getting the one for the exhaust valve P1006. Which of course I already kno about but one other one. P222A. But it doesn’t tell me what that one is for. Anyway to look up the codes?

if you search on google for "P222A obd" it seems to indicate that the error is for the barometric sensors, so the MAP sensors on the panigale. The MAP sensors can be bought from Ducati and aren't the worse thing to change yourself. I believe there are some threads on here about that if you search.

Might depend how they fail. I had a wiring issue (high resistance in a plug) so got lower readings, but no code

Ok so Ordered me a new map sensor. All Engine errors gone!! I did mess with the rapidbike wiring and temporarily fixed that issue for now I hope. Just kind pulled on the pins a little bit. Shot em with contact cleaner and some di grease.
