So I took a few hours to install the Puig light smoke windscreen on my 1299. Was able to install it without taking the faring off only the mirrors. The stock screen for the 1299 now has its rubber grommets attached to the screen for easy removal. I just removed the grommets from the stock screen and super glued the grommets onto the Puig and all was good. The holes on the Puig didn't seem to line up at first but upon installation all but one hole was off at which only required a slight hole enlargement with a hand drill and small router type bit, easy fix.
I picked up the screen from Motovation, what great customer service.
While the screen was off I painted the screen screws satin black and painted the front of the triple clamp to reduce glace on the display a flat black. I had painted the steering dampner flat black awhile ago.
