1299 Superleggera Race Exhaust No Side Stand

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

...anyone yet fit a side stand with race exhaust installed ?

aside from hacking up the carbon/underbelly, wont the stand just bolt into the same holes, without issue ? (boy i know thats doubtful...but its fun to ask)

i'm guessing the underbelly would start to flap in the breeze unless it to is bolted down

here are a few teaser photos: sorry for the incorrect orientation...i shot the pics with a vertical orientation but the site uploads them this way

i am curious to see the underside of the cf swingarm after, say, 1k miles. i highly recommend putting protective film on it.

...a few more....i think i fixed the orientation of these:

Yea, also just enough Ti bolts to be seen when all the bodywork is on. They advertise Ti hardware in the print and throw on a few pieces you can see. Other than that, same stuff you get for 25k.

Bodywork is top notch and better than anything the aftermarket guys have. Wheels look great.

Carbon electronics holders would have been nice, so would a carbon tank. Some very nice pieces for sure. Still an awful lot of "stock" pieces for 90K. The integrated headlight signals I like.

.....

No integrated blinkers in headlight...that was a Fake Post

Dollar value....?.....from an R to an SL....i see a bargain here...

just a quick run down without full awareness:

35k for the R

add:

Carbon wheels - 8k ?
Carbon frame - 8k ?
Carbon fairings - 8k ?
Carbon subframe - 8k ?
Race exhaust - 8k ?

that ends at 75....add on a few dollars for what i may have underpriced or for what may get "overpriced" at factory prices and we are at 80

probably the same "conundrum" of ownership the R would be....2 year warranty, and built for you specifically by the factory...no garage or shade-tree mechanic issues and full dealer support...not "lets open this up again" - i mean seriously, if you don't see or feel that, i have nothing else to say...other than...."i'd want one in a heartbeat" ;)

Pass. I will go on riding a better bike instead of dreaming about one I don't have. Thank god for skillsets and tools.
