I do not fully understand this issue of the upmap. I bought an homologated Akra slip-on from a 1199 R, to install in my 2015 1299, without an upmap. Is an upmap needed only for the racing system, or also for the homologated system? And could such upmap be shared among different owners/buyers, or can it be used only on one bike/exhaust? If the former, I am willing to pay something to borrow one.

The Up Map is tied to the bike. So only one use per key. Now you can always back the up map out of the bike. But it is a one bike at a time use key.

Thanks. Now it is clear. And since I am replacing the stock homologated 1299 exhaust with another stock 1199R homologated slip-on, do I really need an upmap? Would I benefit at all?
