So does anyone know who makes the best clear tubing for the front and rear fluid reservoirs that don't change colour over time from staining and all.

I would also like a link to where I can buy it (north american link).

Thanks :)

Make sure you use Tygon for brake fluid if you use the other plastics it will seep through the hose and get all over your tank.

I don't recommend it for the rear brake. It gets really hot from the exhaust header and will soften up and come loose.

Tygon 2375 1/4in (6.35mm) ID Brake Reservoir Tubing 12" Length (Brembo) with 2 3/8" Spring Clamps - Sportbike Track Gear

Kurvygirl sells tygon hosing and other things related to body fasteners etc etc...

have used her products for years, no change in tubing color, or weeping.. stay away from the HRC stuff.

I was thinking of using Castrol SRF Brake Fluid.

Will that be safe? Never heard of Tygon brake fluid before..

OP, you ask these questions... People give you good advice but it seems like you don't read the advice they give. Or take it into account. Wtf.

Just like in your 08 filter vs 16 filter thread. LJuice gave you 3 great explanations what which one to go with yet it seemed to me like you just didn't read his response.

And just like the good advice's, I take them. Sure LJuice gave me the advice but there are other stuff to make sure if it's the best option since it was also for the ECU.

And as for the Tygon, yes I am going to follow what he suggested because he's most likely right about the rear heating up alot since the engines pumping heat from that zone. Don't know where you got the idea I'm not listening/reading or taking advice, because I asked if Castro can also be used? lol.

I come from a geeky PC builder background and we dont and can't use the same fluids for all liquid cooling kits. So if Castrol has something in the oil that this tubing cannot use then I would like to make sure. Stupid but I'm not that technical when it comes to engines and these type of mods.

SRF works no problem. I'm trying Motul 660 now, because SRF, as good as it is, really turns to .... after a year, plus or minus a couple months, depending on how often you ride, how your bike is stored, etc.

ETA: over time, Tygon 2375 will get slightly milky, but it won't lose strength. I've been using it on my bikes for about five years now.

So Motul will last alot longer? Also when you say milky, is it ugly looking or bearable to look at.

re: the tubing and gaining a VERY slight milky tinge, it's fine, unless you're completely OCD and need it to look crystal clear as the day it was installed. you can still very clearly see the color and condition of the brake fluid.

I can't say yet if Motul will last longer; I've only had it in for 6 months so far.

crashing an old thread.
regarding the tygon 2375, i found two options:
ID: 1/4in (6.35mm)
ID: 5/16in (8mm)

I bought the 6.35mm but now im not sure I was right...
can someone confirm which size to get for the front brake & clutch and if its the same on the rear brake ?

Thanks

I have about 6 or 8 feet of tygon 2375 left that I am not using anymore. It works ok for front brake or clutch but can't take the heat from the exhaust on rear brake. I switched over to EPDM it can handle up to 400 degrees and is much more compatible with brake fluid.

Thanks, will buy some now. :D

I have ran Motul 600 for years now it's great stuff and if using with Tygon 2475 or 2375 never turned white was always perfectly clear even after sitting in the sun for couple seasons or longer.
