Hi All,

Feels so good to be back on an Italian.
Previously I was riding a 1199 and sold it for an HP4. Then I bought another Aprilia RSV4. Which then after 2 years I sold both and bought a 1299S because I missed the twin monstrous cylinders.

My Question is, I have the T800 Up Map installed. And I am looking at a used Rapid Bike Evo which have a 1299 map in it. Do I need it or is the Up Map is good enough?

I think if you add the rapid bike, it will completely ignore the up map. So I’d say you have to be unsatisfied with the upmap first. I have a rapid bike EVO and it’s okay I guess. Definitely better that stock. I need more seat time. I was getting some hesitation and could not figure out why then realized my TC and WC were on 8. Not sure why. I backed them down and throttle response returned.

Good Luck

Hmmm.... That's something to think about. Anyway the T800 UpMap that I had indicate that it will ignore the O2 sensors and keep the exhaust valve open. So if installing the Rapid Bike (as stated in the instructions that we should not take out the O2 sensor) would be any problem or whatsoever.
And another problem that I'm having is that the bike is hard to start when hot. There aren't any canister I've checked them. It have to be cranked thrice and a lil bit of throttle then it would start. So I decided to do the smog block off. It worked awhile but after that it does the same during hot. Hard to start. I'm getting out of ideas. Any thoughts?

Rapidbike reads the O2 sensors and adjusts the map. This is why I say the rapid bike will bypass your up map.

As for hard starting I can not comment. You should not have to add throttle when starting. I actually have Tuneboy and rapidbike. I wasn’t completely happy with the Tunrboy map, but I actually believe it’s pretty good. Tuneboy re-writes the parameters of the ecu so after installing the Tuneboy software I no longer stalled coming out of first. Rapidbike now ignores the Tuneboy maps but all other things like cruise and no more stalling have been retained.

Hope this helps.
