Thanks guys. I think the race exhaust comes with a black belly pan so it should hopefully go well with the wheels.

Friendly reminder, the race exhaust deletes the side stand for two reasons:

1. The belly pan covers the side stand area.
2. The routing of the pipe touches the oem side stand requiring some grinding to create clearance,.

Not for the FE. They supposedly make that one with provisions for both of those. Perhaps that's why it's taking so long.

Instagram photos that I’ve seen have a functional side stand but who knows. It would be a bummer if that had to be deleted.

Looks AWESOME ! It's how the bike SHOULD HAVE come from the factory.
I WANT those so bad.........

wow! care to disclose the cost of those wheels?

After being peppered with that question from several people, I think he summed it up quite nicely here:

Thx guys. These were stupid expensive. I was on the waitlist for the BST Rapid TEK wheels that look great but I didn't like the kink in the spokes. I came across a new set of these OEM 1299 SL wheels from a dealer in Germany at a "good" price and said what the heck. If/when I ever sell the FE the stock wheels will go back on and I figure these SL wheels will be easy to sell at a "good" price so the overall cost of ownership relative to other carbon wheels won't be that bad.

At least that's what I'm telling myself. But then again when it comes to motos my logic has been known to be a bit flawed at times...:D

My local dealer even with a discount was quoting something like $9k including tax.

That's Awesome! Looks fantastic! Im anxiously awaiting the slight variant of the SL design bst is about to release and inked. Kudos.

This looks amazing! Kevin I am coming to visit you! as soon as the weather is over 60F out;)

Sounds great man!

Yeah it's been a bit chilly lately, but I guess it's all relative. We've still got it pretty good out here in Cali, but I'm looking forward to some warmer weather.

Looks awesome!

Can I have my wheels back? :D:D

HAHA!! Do you need them?! I love the gold anni wheels. Those candidly will still see most of the miles on this bike. Planning to swap them out depending on usage since I've got two sets of full hardware. Your set up still reigns supreme!

Totally kidding brotha. :) A second set of Rotobox just showed up so the RBX2's will be the track wheels I think. I couldn't bring myself to screw up the gold Anni wheels on the track. So they would just collect dust and be in the way. Glad you are getting some use out of them!
