Honda CBR1000RR-R SP 2024 vs V4R 2023

It ain't privateering but it will be fun, at least someone recognizes the fact that us fanboys need our own mini-series, imagine racing with the commoners and getting passed by a K-5 Gixxer with duct taped fairings

I will be a ....... Columbus here but

There are at least 3 championships available and has been running for ages that anyone from here can sign up

Coppa Italia, Pirelli Cup, National Trophy

2.05 at mugello is 2nd to slowest group on trackday, so this championships are really for everyone

You ordered an HRC race bike and that’s all you write in the post about it? :)

We definitely need more details. Pictures too…

Wow. What a zinger.

This is why no one likes you. Nothing of value, nothing of substance. No advancement of the conversation, just low effort crap posts.

No pics yet, will send when the bike arrives.

It’s really not that big a deal in terms of the bike itself…there are a limited number of them that are allowed to be exported directly from Japan and they can’t be registered for street use. I had a friend hook me up, it’s kind of a ‘know a guy that knows a guy’ thing.

Details are vague as to what you get with the bike and it seems to change year to year. Last year one of the MotoAmerica racers got one from the same place, and what he got was a stock version of the bike with the Ohlins 3.0 electronic suspension and stock ECU, the HRC ECU and Harness comes with the bike in a box. The fairings are black. While it’s the stock ECU it’s the track version that is not power restricted for epa compliance like the US and EU versions. So I may run the bike like that for awhile then put the HRC ECU and Loom on there later.

The big deal about it is the price. With the currency exchange and getting a non street registrable version I ended up saving well North of $10k…

As it has an unrestricted tune I’m assuming there will also be the Asian market version of stuff like air intake trumpets etc…but we’ll see when it gets here.

A buddy got an HRC 600 from them that was WELL kitted out with factory spec’d race Showas not available to the general public and a whole bunch of other race parts…so hopefully this years version of the 1000 is like that. But even if it isn’t and I just get an essentially unrestricted stock bike with the HRC ECU and Loom kit in a box to install myself the price was an offer I couldn’t refuse, and if it comes kitted like this years 600 did from them then it’s just bonus.

Will essentially look like that but without the mirrors and tail lights.

Would or could, replacement parts be an issue?

No, HRC has an open catalogue of their race parts that generally take about a month to get, but are pretty reliable and accessible to get. HRC is Honda’s equivalent of the Ducati Corse catalogue, but without the F you pricing and has actual accessibility.
