I've had both 190/55 Dunlop Q3s and Michelin Power 3s on my 1199 with no problems. Almost all track riding, little street. I liked the Q3s better. Actually I thought handling was slightly improved; a bit easier to turn in.
how come I have yet to meet you at a local track? where/ when do you normally go?
Because I've had 3 kids over the past 2 years, so my track time has been limited.
The last 2 years I made it to Putnam twice each year; the year before (the year my wife was pregnant with our first) I did 5-6 track days, mostly Putnam.
My twins will be 6 months by June, so I'm hoping to get more track time in this year. Putnam works well for me right now because I can do it all in one day (drive up, ride, drive home) but I'd like to get at least to NCM and Mid-Ohio once this year.
Sweet, I'll try to make it out there, see how that new pavement works out
Always been a fan of Michelin
I won't be racing at the track the pilot roads 4 on my r1 have no issues riding at pace.
I have been running Dunlop Q3 190/55 back and also Q3 on the front for two years now. I ride long distance, and can usually get 17,000km out of back and front tires. Love these tires. The 190/55 size has never caused any problem with the electronics running .....Hi,
Is there going to be any problem fitting a 190/55 onto the 1199S? I know the standard fit is the 200/55 but will fitting a slightly smaller size cause a problem with the electronics. The 190/55 is a supercorsa SP V2.
