Hi,

Is there going to be any problem fitting a 190/55 onto the 1199S? I know the standard fit is the 200/55 but will fitting a slightly smaller size cause a problem with the electronics. The 190/55 is a supercorsa SP V2.

I've had both 190/55 Dunlop Q3s and Michelin Power 3s on my 1199 with no problems. Almost all track riding, little street. I liked the Q3s better. Actually I thought handling was slightly improved; a bit easier to turn in.

how come I have yet to meet you at a local track? where/ when do you normally go?

Because I've had 3 kids over the past 2 years, so my track time has been limited. :(

The last 2 years I made it to Putnam twice each year; the year before (the year my wife was pregnant with our first) I did 5-6 track days, mostly Putnam.

My twins will be 6 months by June, so I'm hoping to get more track time in this year. Putnam works well for me right now because I can do it all in one day (drive up, ride, drive home) but I'd like to get at least to NCM and Mid-Ohio once this year.

That's understandable. Life. Well I'll be at NCM with MTD at the end of April, hope you can make it!

I'm hoping. I do MTD days when I can; other than that I'll do Ducati Indy days at Putnam as well.

Sweet, I'll try to make it out there, see how that new pavement works out

this has been discussed 8000000000 times. next topic. the dunlop 190 are wider than the pirelli 200 search is your friend.

Why michelin?

The pilots are pretty far away from a super bike tire.

I know because I highsided on pilot powers on a 75hp race bike... for sure they don't offer slick pace

Always been a fan of Michelin

I won't be racing at the track the pilot roads 4 on my r1 have no issues riding at pace.

Had 2 sets of Pilot SuperSport Evo on my last GSXR1000, love them, the grip in great and they hold on (around 10k km/ 6k miles on a set) road use no track.
Better the the pilot road 3/4

I have been running Dunlop Q3 190/55 back and also Q3 on the front for two years now. I ride long distance, and can usually get 17,000km out of back and front tires. Love these tires. The 190/55 size has never caused any problem with the electronics running .....
